The Music Ministry at Sunnyvale United Methodist Church is an enthusiastic, inclusive, and accessible community drawn to sing joyfully of God’s glory on Earth. We are inclusive of all musical backgrounds and abilities, and welcome everyone into our spiritually-driven rehearsals.
Chancel Choir
Our Chancel Choir aims to lift the name and word of God through music that emboldens our spiritual commitment to our community and ourselves. With a choral library that spans all the way back to the founding of our church in 1898, we are blessed with a rich and wide variety of music to share with our congregation and community. We gladly welcome singers of all ages and backgrounds to join us for open rehearsals, services, and other special engagements.
Chancel Choir rehearses every Wednesday evening from 7:30–8:30 PM in the choir room.
Praise Singers & Praise Band
Our praise team tastefully accents our Sunday worship with a more contemporary sound to our service hymns. Youth and adults are welcome to join our praise team on a one-time or recurring basis!
Youth Band
All youth are invited to participate in the SUMC Youth Band. Pastor Bayani leads the youth band and no prior music experience is required to join the band. The youth band performs during worship on the fourth Sunday of each month.
Children & Youth Choir
Music is an important aspect of a child’s faith development. Our children and youth are invited to join our Treblemakers Youth Choir. Each Sunday during fellowship time, our Treblemakers choir director rehearse with the youth in preparation for regular singing in the worship service.
