First Time Worshippers
Due to the International setting of our congregation, our worship services are designed to appeal to a broad range of Christians from around the world. We would love for you to join us on Sunday mornings. We think you’ll discover for yourself the excitement that’s at SUMC.
Worship services are held every Sunday at 10:00am in the sanctuary or online.
If you have children:
We encourage children to come to worship and participate in a special children’s message time at the beginning of the service. Sunday school for preschool through high school is offered during worship after the children’s message. If you are worshipping online, children’s church is online via zoom.

What should I wear?
At our Sunday gatherings you will see everything from jeans to suits. Most come casually dressed. It’s up to you!
Will I be asked to give money?
At Sunnyvale United Methodist Church we never ask our guests to give anything… simply enjoy the worship and teaching that is offered as a gift from our family to you. Of course, you can make an offering if you wish, but none will ever be expected. That is the responsibility of our members and regular attenders.
Am I allowed to participate in Communion and other parts of the worship service?
Yes! All people are invited and welcome in every aspect of the worship service, including communion. We offer communion on the first Sunday of every month.
Do you offer childcare?
Sunday school for preschool through high school is offered during worship after the children’s message. For children younger than preschool, we have licensed child care each Sunday.
