For 55 years, CROP Hunger Walks have been empowering communities across the United States to respond to the global challenges of hunger, poverty, access to education, and clean water in the US and around the world. On May 18, right after church, we will be walking to end hunger, build community and be a presence in our neighborhood.
You can take part by walking (about a mile), cheering our walkers on and welcoming them back to the church, and by donating to CWS CROP Walk. Go to: https://events.crophungerwalk.org/crophungerwalks/event/sanjoseca to sign up to walk or to donate. Our team is: Sunnyvale UMC.
25% of the donations will be used locally, 75% will go to CWS and be used globally. If you are interested in participating in a community CROP Walk it will be May 18 at 1:00 starting at Almaden Hills UMC.
